Rachel Gupta is crowned as India’s first Miss Grand International, equaling Lara Dutta’s achievement.

Thailand: Rachel Gupta, a 20-year-old beauty from Jalandhar, has made history by winning the Miss Grand International 2024 title, becoming the first Indian to achieve this honor.

The 12th edition of the Miss Grand International event took place on October 25, 2024, at the MGI Hall, Bravo BKK Mall in Bangkok, Thailand, featuring contestants from 68 countries. This prestigious pageant not only showcases fashion but also addresses humanitarian issues and promotes global peace. Rachel captivated both the audience and judges with her impressive performance, confidence, and charm, outshining her fellow contestants.

During the event, Rachel competed against the top five finalists, which included representatives from Myanmar, Brazil, the Philippines, and France. She ultimately triumphed over the Philippines’ contestant CJ Opiaza to claim the Miss Grand International golden crown. With this remarkable achievement, Rachel is now in fierce competition with model and Bollywood actress Lara Dutta, who holds the record for the most global pageant crowns won by an Indian.
