SHO to face action for using “inappropriate” language in warning to kite-flyers.

ISLAMABAD – Following a directive from the Ministry of Human Rights, Islamabad police have initiated a departmental inquiry against Secretariat SHO Ashfaq Warraich for allegedly using inappropriate language while issuing a warning to kite-flyers and their fathers, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.

Reports indicate that the SHO has been chargesheeted, and the inquiry is underway.

The Ministry of Human Rights had sent a letter to Islamabad police authorities, highlighting a viral video in which the SHO was seen threatening kite-flyers and their fathers with punishment involving shoes in the middle of the road and demolishing their houses.

The video, which circulated widely on social media, sparked public backlash and criticism.

In response, Islamabad police have intensified efforts to crack down on kite-flyers and manufacturers.

Maid Arrested for Torturing Baby and Stealing Jewelry

In another incident, police arrested a maid who had fled after allegedly torturing a three-month-old baby and stealing jewelry worth over Rs 0.25 million.

CCTV footage circulating online showed the suspect, Saima, placing a cloth over the infant’s mouth and physically assaulting the baby.

Police sources revealed that the footage was crucial in identifying and exposing the crime.

A case was promptly filed after Matloob Zafar lodged a complaint against the accused.
