Popular comedian Sudesh Lehri, renowned for his exceptional comedic talent in shows like Comedy Circus and The Kapil Sharma Show, is currently seen in Laughter Chef. However, many may not know that he once had to sell his award for just ₹300 to feed his family. In an interview with The Times of India, Sudesh shared that during a tough financial period, he approached the event organizer to inquire about the award’s worth. When he learned it was valued at ₹300-400, he decided to sell it. This small amount allowed him to buy food for his family, illustrating the depth of his financial hardships before finding success.

Sudesh’s poignant story serves as a reminder of the challenges he faced on his path to fame. His fortunes began to change after competing in The Great Indian Laughter Challenge III, where he secured third place, while Chandan Prabhakar came in second and Kapil Sharma won.

In addition to his television career, Sudesh has acted in several Bollywood films, including Ready, Total Dhamaal, and Great Grand Masti. He made his Tamil film debut in 2007 with Wagah, starring alongside Vikram Prabhu and Ranya Rao. He admires Bollywood legends like Salman Khan, Govinda, Johnny Lever, and the late Sridevi.

Recently, he experienced a delightful fan moment when he met his favorite actor, Anupam Kher, during a flight from Delhi to Mumbai. Sudesh expressed his excitement about meeting the veteran actor and shared their conversation in a video post, with Anupam Kher praising Sudesh’s comedic timing.
