Syed Noor, a veteran Pakistani film director and renowned star maker, has introduced several iconic actors, including Reema, Shaan, Meera, Resham, Sana, and Saima. His notable films include Choorian, Jeeva, Sangam, Sargam, Majajan, and Tere Bajre Ki Rakhi. Choorian was a massive blockbuster, setting new records in Pakistani cinema. He is married to Choorian‘s lead actress, Saima Khan.
Recently, Syed Noor appeared on the 24 Plus podcast, hosted by Fiza Ali, where he opened up about his second marriage to Saima and how his first wife, Rukhsana Noor, reacted to it.
Sharing the story, Syed Noor revealed, “Rukhsana found out about my second marriage four years later through a newspaper article published by Tahir Sarwar Mir. The story was true, and Saima had confirmed it, so he printed it. After reading the news, Rukhsana remained silent. She was upset but chose not to speak about it. One of our neighbors confronted me, asking, ‘What have you done?’ Despite everything, Rukhsana accepted my decision. She was a very supportive wife.”
He further recounted the first time Rukhsana and Saima met after his second marriage: “Saima was shooting for a film in Iqbal Town, where I was residing at the time. A crowd gathered around her, causing a disturbance, so she decided to rest at a nearby house. The driver unknowingly took her to my house. Rukhsana wasn’t home at the time, but when she returned and was told Saima was inside, she was shocked. However, she went straight to the kitchen, prepared tea and snacks, handed them to the servants, and quietly went to her room. It was a graceful gesture from Rukhsana. She was observing Saima, and over time, Saima proved herself.”
