Syra Yousuf Opens Up About Her Marriage Plans

Pakistani actress Syra Yousuf, known for her role in Sinf-e-Aahan, has opened up about her thoughts on remarriage following her divorce from Shahroz Sabzwari.

Syra and Shahroz ended their eight-year marriage in 2020, during which they had a daughter, Syeda Zahra Sabzwari. While Shahroz married supermodel Sadaf Kanwal in 2022, Syra remains single.

In a recent podcast appearance, Syra discussed the pressure of remarriage, the importance of financial independence, and the qualities she seeks in a future partner.

“Times have changed, and divorce rates have risen. Parents now understand that ending a relationship and starting anew isn’t easy. My parents are more relaxed about it. Society may say that you need a male figure in your life, but people have become more accepting of single mothers,” Syra explained.

The actress also stressed the importance of financial independence for women in Pakistan, emphasizing how it allows them to make their own decisions.

“Financial independence is crucial because it’s helped me make many of my life decisions. If a woman has a strong family background, their support is valuable, but not everyone has that. It’s important for a woman to be independent,” Syra said.

When it comes to her future partner, Syra emphasized the importance of him being “God-fearing.”

“That’s what I look for in a partner,” she added.
