However, just a day after his wedding reception, things took a dramatic turn when he was arrested for receiving a lion cub as a wedding gift and possessing a firearm at his home.
The Shocking Truth Behind Rajab Butt’s Arrest
Rajab Butt’s friend, politician Malik Zaman Naseeb, who helped secure his bail, shared some details about the incident. He explained that he became friends with Rajab through his son. According to Naseeb, someone close to Rajab had tipped off the authorities, leading to his arrest. While the lion’s license was already in process, the police ignored Rajab’s claims. They also raided a room where he kept a gun, for which the license was pending but not yet issued.
Malik Zaman Naseeb chose not to disclose the identity of the person who alerted the police. However, he mentioned that the individual had been identified, but no further action was taken against them. Naseeb also revealed that the police had been under significant pressure from higher authorities to arrest Rajab. Despite the turmoil, Rajab’s bail was granted within a day, and he was released.
