What is the connection between Emmad Irfani and Allama Iqbal?

Did you know that showbiz heartthrob Emmad Irfani is related to the national poet, Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal?

During his recent appearance on PTV’s ‘Virsa: Heritage Revived’, hosted by Yousuf Salahuddin, the grandson of Allama Iqbal, Emmad surprised everyone by revealing his blood relation to both the host and the Poet of the East. Emmad shared, “It’s always a great learning experience visiting Uncle Yousuf.” The host, Yousuf Salahuddin, then explained that Emmad’s great-grandmother was the sister of Allama Iqbal.

Emmad further expressed his admiration for the ‘Virsa’ program, saying, “I used to watch this on TV and YouTube, but this is my first live experience here today. I can understand the magic, beauty, and contribution that everyone is making to preserve Pakistan’s culture and music.”

On the professional front, Emmad Irfani recently gained international recognition for his role as Adeel in the hit serial ‘Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum’, alongside Fahad Mustafa and Hania Aamir. He has also been praised for his performances in projects like ‘Jaan-e-Jahan’, ‘Cheekh’, ‘Jalan’, and ‘Shikwa’.
