Health concerns rise for children and the elderly due to dry weather.

Health concerns have increased in Karachi as dry weather has led to a rise in throat and chest conditions such as dry cough, fever, and throat irritation.

Medical experts have warned that children and the elderly, due to their weaker immune systems, are most vulnerable to these seasonal illnesses.

“The combination of dry weather and dusty air is exacerbating respiratory and throat issues, especially in children and the elderly,” the doctors stated.

With the rising dust levels in the city, the situation has worsened, prompting health professionals to advise precautionary measures.

Residents are encouraged to avoid cold drinks, consume warm soups and broths, and wear warm clothing in the evenings. They also recommend wearing masks outdoors to reduce exposure to dust and pollutants.
