Maryam Nawaz secures deal for advanced cancer treatment equipment in Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has signed an agreement with a Chinese company to introduce cutting-edge cancer treatment technology in the province.

During her trip to China, she finalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hygea Medical Technologies to bring advanced cancer treatments and equipment to Punjab. The arrival of this technology will enable cancer treatments that do not require surgery or chemotherapy.

After meeting Dr. Luo Fuliang, President of Hygea Medical Technologies, Maryam Nawaz announced that the company had committed to providing professional support for the development of the Nawaz Sharif Cancer Hospital. The hospital will soon offer cancer treatments using state-of-the-art machinery and techniques, in collaboration with China.

The Chief Minister also met Zhi Hong Sheng, founder and CEO of AI Force Tech and Chairman of the Chinese company, to discuss strategies for tackling air pollution.

In addition, an MoU was signed between the Punjab Agriculture Department and AI Force Tech, under which the Chinese company will set up a manufacturing plant for robotic agricultural equipment in Punjab. Maryam Nawaz also visited Shi Ji Tan Hospital and the Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport.

Maryam Nawaz emphasized that the Lahore Orange Line and Metro Bus systems symbolize the strong Pakistan-China partnership, expressing gratitude for the collaboration in the Metro Bus projects in Lahore, Multan, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi. She also revealed plans to expand the Metro Train network in Lahore and other cities.
