Adiala Jail officials issued notice for failing to present Bushra Bibi in court.

RAWALPINDI – On Tuesday, a Rawalpindi anti-terrorism court issued a notice to the superintendent of Adiala Jail for failing to produce Bushra Bibi in court.

Judge Amjad Ali Shah was presiding over the case regarding the authorities’ failure to present Bushra Bibi during the hearing on February 1. The petition was filed by Bushra Bibi’s lawyer, Muhammad Faisal Malik.

The court was informed that the hearing was scheduled to address Bushra Bibi’s bail in 31 cases related to the November 26 incident, but she was not brought to court.

The petition argued that the authorities had shown contempt of court by not ensuring Bushra Bibi’s presence in the proceedings.

The court has now directed the superintendent to appear in person on February 6.
