Eight dead as mini-van falls into nullah in Kasur

KASUR – At least eight people lost their lives, and two others sustained injuries when a mini-van plunged into a nullah in the early hours of Friday, as reported by Dunya News.

The tragic accident took place on Raiwind Road near Khara More when a mini-van, returning from a wedding function, veered off course and fell into the nullah. Eight people died on the spot, while two others were injured.

Rescue teams and police arrived at the scene, shifting the deceased and injured to a hospital. Among the victims, five were identified as Maqsood, Sunny, Saleem, Imran, and Laba.

Road accidents remain a serious issue in Pakistan, with the country ranking among the most hazardous due to poorly maintained roads, reckless driving, and unfit vehicles.
