Eight terrorists neutralized by security forces in two KP operations

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces eliminated eight terrorists during two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday, according to the ISPR.

The Pakistan Army’s media wing stated that the operations, conducted on December 5, resulted in the elimination of eight Khwarij.

One operation took place in Sararogha, South Waziristan District, targeting the reported presence of Khwarij. The ISPR reported that during the operation, security forces effectively engaged the terrorists, killing two, including their leader Khan Muhammad alias Khoryay, and apprehending two others.

Khan Muhammad was a key figure involved in numerous terrorist activities such as target killings and extortion. He was on the law enforcement agencies’ most-wanted list, with a bounty of Rs. 1 million on his head.

In a separate operation in Lakki Marwat District, security forces engaged in an intense firefight, successfully neutralizing six Khwarij.

Sanitization efforts are underway to clear the areas of any remaining terrorists. The ISPR reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring peace in the region.
