FIA apprehends three women labeled as ‘beggars’ upon their return from Saudi Arabia.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration Wing arrested three women for allegedly begging in Saudi Arabia under the pretense of being Umrah pilgrims, ARY News reported on Sunday.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the women—hailing from Multan, Muzaffargarh, and Rahim Yar Khan—were detained upon their arrival at Sialkot International Airport from Saudi Arabia. The women had reportedly been involved in begging activities in Saudi Arabia for several months.

In a separate incident earlier in October, the FIA Immigration arrested eight individuals at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport for attempting to travel with fake documents and engage in begging abroad. The suspects—Noori Anwar, Asia Bibi, Samina Bibi, Sakina Bibi, and Muhammad Akram—were found attempting to travel to Saudi Arabia on Pakistani passports via flights QR-611 and XY-638. Upon investigation, authorities discovered that they had no valid hotel bookings or travel expense justifications and were planning to beg in Saudi Arabia. All five were arrested and handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Karachi for further action.

In another operation, three passengers—Salman, Muhammad Nauman, and Muhammad Hussain—were arrested while attempting to travel to Azerbaijan using forged documents.
