RAWALPINDI – The details of a key meeting between PTI founder Imran Khan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur have emerged, highlighting discussions on governance and corruption in the province.
According to sources, Imran Khan expressed concerns over complaints regarding alleged misgovernance and corruption in KP.
In response, Chief Minister Gandapur distanced himself from the issue, clarifying that he had no involvement in postings and transfers. “These decisions are made based on recommendations from provincial assembly members, yet the complaints are directed at me,” he told Imran Khan.
Imran Khan stated that he had relieved Gandapur of his party responsibilities to ease his workload and allow him to focus entirely on governance. “You are the province’s chief executive; governance must be improved,” he stressed.
The PTI founder assured Gandapur of his full support and authority, urging him to address concerns related to corruption and inefficiency.
Following the meeting, sources revealed that Chief Minister Gandapur held discussions with his special assistant on anti-corruption, directing officials to take firm action against corruption in the province.
