Islamabad Weather: A three-day rainy period is anticipated in several areas starting today.

RAWALPINDI/LAHORE: The northern regions, including the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, are anticipated to experience rainfall from October 5 to 8, as a new system of westerly waves is set to approach the country on Saturday.

This weather system is expected to bring rain to Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and northern areas of Balochistan. In contrast, Sindh will continue to endure hot and dry conditions.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Punjab has issued directives to deputy commissioners and local administrations across the province to remain vigilant and prepare equipment and personnel to manage rainwater drainage.

While the situation will be monitored continuously, residents are advised to steer clear of dilapidated structures.
