The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration unit apprehended Khawar Shahzad, a suspected human trafficker, upon his arrival from Oman at Islamabad International Airport.
Shahzad, who faces charges of human trafficking and visa fraud, had fled the country after allegedly accepting payments from individuals under the guise of securing visas. His name had been added to the stop list, and a case against him was registered in 2023.
After his arrest, Shahzad was transferred to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Lahore for further investigation.
This arrest represents a key development in the agency’s ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking and safeguard vulnerable individuals from exploitation.
