MDCAT 2024 Retake Conducted in Sindh Amid Tight Security Measures

The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2024 is being held today across various locations in Sindh.

According to details, over 38,000 students are participating in the retake, which spans three and a half hours. Test arrangements have been made at multiple centres, including two in Karachi: NED University and the University of Karachi.

IBA Sukkur, responsible for conducting the retest under court directives, has confirmed that the paper consists of 200 multiple-choice questions.

Entry Points for Test Centers

To facilitate students, dedicated entry points have been established:

  • Karachi University: Metroville Gate, Maskan Gate, and Shaikh Zaid
  • IBA Public School Sukkur: Gate 3
  • Mehran University Jamshoro: Gate 2
  • Hyderabad Public School Latifabad: Central Gate
  • Police Training School Larkana: Main Gate

Guidelines for Candidates

Authorities have instructed candidates to refrain from bringing mobile phones, smartwatches, or any electronic devices to the test centres.
Candidates must bring their original Admit Slip along with one of the following documents for mandatory verification:

  • CNIC
  • Juvenile Card
  • Passport
  • Matriculation Marksheet
  • Intermediate Marksheet

Measures to Prevent Malpractice

Dr. Asif Shaikh, Vice-Chancellor of Sukkur IBA, assured that the test would be conducted fairly and securely. “There is no chance of cheating or paper leaks. Special teams have been assigned, and the test papers are kept under strict security,” he stated.
