ISLAMABAD: The PTI political committee has decided to move forward with the party’s planned protest on November 24, ARY News reported on Saturday.
During a session held the previous night, the committee reaffirmed its commitment to the protest, rejecting calls to cancel it, as stated in an official press release.
The statement emphasized, “PTI’s peaceful protest will begin on November 24 (Sunday), with convoys from all across Pakistan heading towards Islamabad.”
The movement will continue until the party achieves its objectives, the statement added.
PTI’s demands include the release of its detained leaders, workers, and party founder, the repeal of the 26th Constitutional Amendment, and the restoration of the legitimate mandate from the February 8 election.
The committee also expressed concern over the worsening economic conditions and rising terrorism, strongly criticizing the government for its lack of urgency in addressing these critical issues.
