Sanaullah praises PM Shehbaz and others for steering the country away from default risks.

Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, stated on Friday that the government led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, along with others, successfully averted the risk of the country defaulting.

Criticizing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, Sanaullah remarked, “The PTI founder pushed the country toward an economic crisis and continues to seek ways to deepen the financial turmoil.”

He questioned, “Is his [PTI founder’s] popularity continuously rising?”

Commenting on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) deal, Sanaullah accused certain elements of attempting to derail the agreement, saying, “Efforts were made to sabotage the IMF deal, and a narrative was created that the country had defaulted. This narrative also aimed to incite unrest and attack Islamabad.”

Referring to the events of May 9, he added, “Military courts will issue verdicts on the May 9 incidents within a week. The press release stated that Faiz Hameed played a leading role in orchestrating the violence on May 9.”

Sanaullah further asserted, “If Faiz Hameed is involved in the May 9 chaos, it implies he is aligned with the PTI.” He emphasized that the PTI founder would face prosecution under the Military Act if found guilty of the May 9 vandalism.

Declining to elaborate further before the press conference by the DG ISPR, Sanaullah stated, “The matter should not be discussed in detail prior to official clarification.”

He accused the PTI founder of manipulating public opinion, saying, “The PTI founder will face prosecution for influencing and brainwashing the public through his speeches.”

Sanaullah reiterated that the PTI orchestrated the May 9 incidents, claiming, “The PTI founder received instructions for the May 9 mayhem, and if those who directed him are prosecuted, so will he.”
