SHEIKHUPURA: In a chilling crime fueled by financial greed, a man was brutally murdered by his cousin in Pakistan, ARY News reported.
The victim, identified as Yaseen from Faisalabad, was targeted by his cousin and accomplices, who gruesomely severed his thumb with a knife to steal his money. According to the District Police Officer (DPO) of Sheikhupura, the suspects used the severed thumb to withdraw money multiple times from ATMs across Pakistan, eventually managing to steal approximately Rs1 million.
Yaseen’s lifeless body was later found in a parked vehicle, shocking authorities with the brutality of the crime. Utilizing advanced technology, the police successfully tracked down the culprits, and the severed thumb was recovered, confirming the suspects’ intent to continue withdrawing money.
Yaseen, the only child of his parents, was the victim of this horrific crime. Authorities in Sheikhupura have confirmed that a formal case has been registered.

In a separate tragic incident in Bahawalpur, five bodies were discovered in a house, including those of a husband, wife, and their three sons, sending shockwaves through the area. Police are investigating whether the deaths were a result of murder or suicide. A pistol found at the scene is being examined for forensic analysis.
The youngest daughter of the family was found unharmed but unconscious and has been taken to a hospital. Relatives have expressed disbelief at the possibility of suicide, citing a recent phone conversation with the deceased. Neighbors noted that the young girl had not heard any gunshots, and no unusual noises were reported by nearby residents.
Blood was found near the bodies, and police have sent the bodies to the hospital for further investigation. The cause of death is still under investigation.
