LAHORE – The Model Town Organized Crime Unit reported on Thursday night that a notorious criminal involved in 106 serious crimes was killed, allegedly by his own accomplices during a police operation, according to Dunya News.
Police identified the deceased as Sajid, alias Chatta, a proclaimed offender. He was fatally shot when his accomplices ambushed the police party while they were taking him for the recovery of illegal weapons and stolen goods.
The attackers managed to flee after killing him in police custody, and law enforcement has since launched a search operation to capture the fugitives.
HARDCORE BANDIT ARRESTED
Meanwhile, in Chishtian, police arrested a notorious robber during a crackdown on criminal activities late Thursday night, Dunya News reported.
The arrested individual had been a source of fear in Chishtian, and a police spokesman emphasized that the crackdown would continue until all criminals are eliminated.
