KARACHI (Dunya News): Robbers fatally shot a shopkeeper during a burglary at his tyre shop on Jamshaid Road on Sunday night, according to Dunya News.
Armed bandits entered the shop of 26-year-old trader Ahsan Arif and attempted to steal his cellphone and cash. During the robbery, the assailants opened fire, killing the shopkeeper on the spot before fleeing the scene.
Police arrived at the crime scene, moved the body to the hospital, and initiated an investigation.
TWO ROBBERS KILLED IN ‘ENCOUNTER’
In Lahore’s Khana area, two suspected bandits were killed while six others managed to escape during a police ‘encounter.’ Police, acting on information that eight robbers were hiding in a house, arrived to arrest them. Upon seeing the police, the suspects opened fire, prompting police to retaliate. In the ensuing exchange, two alleged robbers were killed. Police claimed the suspects were involved in numerous serious crimes.
FIVE-YEAR-OLD BOY MURDERED BY UNCLE
In the Arifwala Sadar police jurisdiction, a young man was arrested for the murder of his five-year-old nephew. Investigation revealed the murderer was the boy’s uncle, who killed him due to a personal feud. Police are continuing their investigation.
ROBBER INJURED, ARRESTED
In Karachi’s Jinnah Colony, a suspected robber was arrested after being injured in a police ‘encounter.’ The suspect, Noor Wali, and his accomplices were attempting to break into a house when police arrived. The robbers opened fire, and police returned fire, injuring and arresting Wali, while the other accomplices fled the scene.
