30 Passengers Offloaded at Karachi Airport Amid Human Trafficking Suspicions

Authorities at Karachi Airport offloaded 30 passengers in a single day over suspicions of human trafficking. Officials believe many of these individuals were potential trafficking victims.

Several detainees have been handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further investigation.

Among them, Abid Ali, a Saudi-bound traveler, was flagged as his name appeared on the IBM Stop List. Suleman Riaz, a government employee, was found traveling to Saudi Arabia on an employment visa without the required NOC.

Other Saudi-bound passengers, including Aftab Ahmed, Muhammad Khaleel, Muhammad Riaz, and Ahmed Khan, were offloaded due to incomplete documentation. Similarly, passenger Muhammad Hassan, traveling to Azerbaijan, was suspected of being part of a Europe-bound trafficking scheme.

Oman-bound traveler Shaukat was offloaded for lacking hotel bookings and travel funds, while Hamza Javed had incomplete work visa documentation.

Several Umrah pilgrims, including Iqbal, Imran, and Mujahid, were flagged as possible trafficking victims. Passengers heading to Azerbaijan, such as Fazal, Hussain, and Najaf, were also stopped due to irregular travel arrangements.

Babur Khaleel attempted to travel to Oman on a work visa with incomplete paperwork, while Dubai-bound Saira Bano could not provide valid reasons or financial proof for her trip.

Nigerian passengers Daniyal Saqib and Syed Bilal Hussain were found without valid work visas. Tanzania-bound travelers Sadaf Mustafa and Muhammad Ijaz were stopped for lacking hotel bookings and travel funds, and Saudi visitor Faiz was flagged for missing accommodation arrangements.

Authorities are ramping up efforts to combat human trafficking and ensure passengers meet legal travel requirements. Investigations into these cases are ongoing.
