ISLAMABAD, Sep 29 (APP): Preparations are in full swing for the 37th annual international conference of the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU), set to be hosted by Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU).
In addition to Asian Open Universities, Associate Members of the AAOU from Europe, the USA, Australia, and Africa will also take part in the event.
The three-day conference, scheduled for October 15 to 17, will focus on the significance of distance education and its alignment with modern needs.
AIOU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Nasir Mahmood stated that the conference will offer a valuable platform for regional and global universities to exchange knowledge and collaborate on education and research.
More than 250 research papers will be presented by renowned educational experts, with 300 abstracts already submitted for review.
A pre-conference webinar is planned for October 14. Conference Coordinator Dr. Zahid Majeed expressed confidence in the success of the event, highlighting the strong interest from both national and international participants.
The conference aligns with AIOU’s mission to advance distance education and promote collaboration among open universities. By exchanging insights and best practices, participants aim to enhance the quality and effectiveness of distance learning programs.
