Barrister Saif: PPP Equally Accountable for PECA Amendments

PESHAWAR – Barrister Dr. Muhammad Ali Saif, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Adviser on Information, asserted that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) shares equal responsibility for the amendments made to the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA).

In his statement, Barrister Saif emphasized that the PPP supported the PECA when it was voted on and later signed into law by President Asif Zardari.

He criticized the PPP for opposing the act in the media, labeling it as hypocritical. “The PPP and PML-N are two sides of the same coin, both equally responsible for enforcing oppressive laws in the country,” Saif remarked.

The PTI leader further stated that both parties have played a role in fostering lawlessness in Pakistan and will eventually be held accountable for their illicit wealth.
