ISLAMABAD: Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko is scheduled to visit Pakistan on November 25, according to diplomatic sources, as reported by ARY News.
The primary objective of the visit is to strengthen bilateral relations and explore new opportunities for cooperation across various sectors.
During the visit, a Pakistan-Belarus Trade Roadmap is expected to be signed, according to sources.
President Lukashenko is set to meet with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Pakistan’s military leadership. The discussions will focus on expanding collaboration in modern farming techniques, boosting trade relations, and enhancing security and defense cooperation.
Pakistan has shown a strong interest in collaborating with Belarus in the tractor manufacturing sector, given Belarus’s expertise in agricultural machinery.
Several agreements are anticipated to be signed, paving the way for deeper collaboration in multiple areas and reinforcing both economic and strategic ties.
The visit is viewed as a crucial step toward strengthening relations between Pakistan and Belarus, with both countries eager to establish a more robust partnership.
Earlier, on October 25, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, and Belarus’s Prime Minister, Roman Golovchenko, discussed enhancing bilateral defense and security cooperation, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). The two leaders also addressed regional issues and mutual interests, with General Munir praising Belarus’s contribution to global peace and expressing his hope for further military cooperation between the two countries.
