Dow University officials dismiss claims of MDCAT paper leak as false.

The Dow University of Health Sciences has officially dismissed the leaked Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) paper circulating on social media as fake.

A university spokesperson emphasized that there is no possibility of a paper leak and urged the public to avoid spreading unverified rumors.

This year, 167,077 candidates will compete for over 18,000 available seats in medical and dental colleges across Pakistan.

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has once again entrusted Dow University with conducting the MDCAT in Sindh, where around 38,700 candidates will participate, including 12,846 from Karachi.

In Karachi, the test will be held for 858 seats, with 746 allocated for open merit and 112 for self-finance.

To prevent potential leaks, Dow University has implemented stringent security measures. However, some medical organizations have raised concerns about possible mismanagement during the exam.

Examination centres will be set up at NED University and Dow University’s Ojha campus to accommodate over 12,000 students. Additional centres will be established in Larkana, Sukkur, and Hyderabad.

The MDCAT exam, lasting three and a half hours from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM, will consist of 200 questions across various subjects. Additionally, mobile phone and internet services will be suspended within a 500-meter radius of examination centres in Punjab and Peshawar.
