“Fog Causes Disruptions on Motorway Traffic”

LAHORE:
Fog continued to disrupt daily life in various cities across Punjab, leading to the closure of several motorways due to poor visibility.

A spokesperson for the Motorway Police reported that the M-2 motorway from Lahore to Kot Momin and the M-3 motorway up to Multan were shut down.

He also mentioned that access was restricted on the M-4 from Pindi Bhattian to Multan, the M-5 from Multan to Uch Sharif, and the Lahore-Sialkot M-11 due to fog. The fog also impacted traffic flow on major highways.

The spokesperson advised drivers to use both front and rear fog lights for better visibility and urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel.

In a travel advisory, the Motorway Police encouraged road users to check the latest updates on the National Highways and Motorway Police’s social media platforms before embarking on their journeys.
