Four family members lose their lives in a drowning incident at Manora Beach in Karachi.

KARACHI: A family outing at Manora Beach turned tragic when four of its members drowned while swimming in the sea.

The victims included a husband and wife, along with the wife’s sister and brother, who had gathered for a picnic on Saturday. While the bodies of the three siblings have been recovered, the body of 24-year-old Mustafa Aftab remains missing at the time of this report.

Relatives of Mustafa informed Geo News on Sunday that they spent the entire night at the beach searching for him and had reached out to rescue officials, but none arrived to assist in locating the fourth victim.

The day before the incident, Mustafa had visited his in-laws in Malir and later left with six family members for the beach near Hawkesbay, unaware of the tragedy that awaited them.

The mishap occurred while the family was enjoying their time near the water. Upon receiving reports of the drowning, police and rescue volunteers, including divers, quickly arrived to conduct search operations.

The bodies of the three siblings were recovered within a few hours, but Mustafa’s body has yet to be found. He was the only child of his parents and had been married for about a year and a half, with no children of his own.

After completing the necessary formalities, the bodies of Hafiza Imam, Saba Imam, and Maaz Imam were returned to the grieving family.
