Gohar, Gandapur Sought Imran Khan’s Nod for Talks with Establishment: Aleema Khan

Aleema Khan revealed that PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur sought approval from her brother, PTI founder Imran Khan, for initiating talks with the establishment.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi following a meeting with Imran Khan, Aleema shared that the two PTI leaders had also updated him on preparations for the upcoming November 24 protest.

According to Aleema, Imran Khan reiterated the importance of political parties keeping their doors open for dialogue. “Dedicated party members like Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Ejaz Chaudhry, and Mian Mahmoodur Rashid remain imprisoned,” he noted, adding that while Andleeb Abbas opted for an easier path, Dr. Yasmin continues to endure incarceration.

Quoting her brother, Aleema stated, “An ideological worker always stands firm for their cause.” She emphasized the significance of November 24 for the nation, urging PTI supporters to unite in upholding the party’s principles. “I have called upon the nation only twice: once on February 8, and now again,” Imran Khan reportedly said.

Drawing comparisons to past events, Imran Khan urged his followers to mobilize once more to safeguard the party’s ideology and pursue justice. Aleema highlighted his reference to February 8, when PTI solidified itself as a major ideological movement.

“This marks the second ideological election since 1970,” Aleema stated, emphasizing that ideological struggles are prolonged. She reiterated that peaceful protest is a constitutional right.
