Indian businessman Sajjan Jindal and his family meet with Nawaz Sharif

Indian industrialist Sajjan Jindal, along with his family, made a short visit to Pakistan over the weekend to attend the wedding celebrations of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s grandson.

Sources reveal that Jindal and his family visited the Sharif family’s luxurious residence in Jati Umra, Lahore, to personally offer their congratulations to Nawaz Sharif and his family on the wedding of his grandson, Zayd Hussain Nawaz.

The visit, kept discreet, underscored the strong personal relationship between the two families. Jindal, accompanied by his wife Sangeeta, spent a few hours in Lahore before leaving for Mumbai on a special flight, sources said.

Sajjan Jindal, a prominent business leader in India, is the chairman of JSW Group, a major multinational corporation with interests in steel, energy, and infrastructure.

The wedding festivities have attracted several high-profile personalities, with the Sharif family hosting a series of extravagant events in Lahore.

The nikkah of Zayd Hussain Nawaz took place on Wednesday night at Jati Umra, marking the start of the wedding celebrations. The venue was beautifully decorated for the occasion, which was attended by guests from India and various other countries.

The barat ceremony occurred on Saturday, with close family members, foreign guests, and political figures participating. The walima followed on Sunday, held once again at Jati Umra.
