Lahore High Court calls Sanam Javed in surety bond forfeiture case

LAHORE – The Lahore High Court has summoned Sanam Javed in person regarding a petition challenging the forfeiture of her surety bond.

A two-member bench, led by Chief Justice Aaliya Neelum, heard the petition filed by Sanam Javed.

According to the petition, Sanam Javed failed to appear before the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore for hearings on two May 9 cases. The ATC had denied her exemption request and subsequently issued non-bailable arrest warrants against her.

The petition further stated that the court had ordered the confiscation of the personal bond provided by her guarantor, her father Javaid Iqbal, and issued a show-cause notice to him.

Sanam Javed requested the Lahore High Court to annul the bond forfeiture order and cancel the show-cause notice against her father.

After hearing the arguments, the Lahore High Court adjourned the proceedings until tomorrow and summoned PTI worker Sanam Javed in person for further deliberation.
