Massive Fire at Karachi’s Sharea Faisal Hotel Quickly Contained by Rescue Teams
A fire broke out on the third floor of a hotel located on Karachi’s Sharea Faisal on Monday, prompting swift action from rescue teams.
Sindh Rescue 1122 received an emergency call reporting a blaze near Mehran Hotel, with rescue workers, an ambulance, and two fire trucks rushing to the scene immediately.
Upon arrival, Rescue 1122 personnel faced significant challenges due to thick smoke on the third floor where the fire was raging. However, they managed to break the windows and enter the affected area.
By 2 PM, the fire had been brought under control, and the cooling process was underway. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Four fire brigades and two water tankers worked together to extinguish the flames.
This incident follows a series of recent fires in Karachi, including a blaze in a commercial building near I.I. Chundrigar Road on Saturday, and a massive warehouse fire in Model Colony on Sunday evening caused by a gas cylinder explosion.
