Omer Ayub asserts that Gandapur instructed protesters to stay clear of the Red Zone.

Justice Waqar Ahmed led the hearing and stated that the petitioners should approach the appropriate court for the cases they are familiar with. “We are granting you protective bail, but you must return to the relevant court,” the judge remarked.

The court observed that the petitioner was a member of the Judicial Commission and directed the federal government and relevant authorities to collect information regarding the cases against him.

Omer Ayub informed the court that the federation had been requested not to file motorcycle theft cases against them. “FIRs are being filed every 10 minutes,” the petitioner’s lawyer added.

Ayub also told the court that he had been directly shot at during PTI’s recent protest march in Islamabad, which resulted in his injury. “Now, an FIR has been registered against me as well,” he lamented, asking for more time for the petitioners to appear before the relevant authorities.

The opposition leader in the National Assembly further claimed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur had repeatedly said no one would enter the Red Zone. “We were attacked everywhere. I was personally targeted,” he alleged, holding the prime minister, the Punjab chief minister, and the Islamabad police chief accountable for the assaults.

He also accused authorities of filing false cases against PTI leaders and appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to form a fact-finding committee to investigate the matter. “The committee should look into how these events unfolded during the protest. Our protest was peaceful, yet obstacles were deliberately placed in our path,” he asserted.
