Pakistan reiterates its commitment to ensuring the safety of Chinese nationals.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reiterated its firm commitment to ensuring the safety and security of Chinese nationals, projects, and institutions within its borders.

In a statement released today, the Foreign Office emphasized Pakistan’s ongoing dedication to safeguarding Chinese interests in the country.

Addressing an incident in Karachi, where two Chinese nationals were injured in a shooting following a dispute with a private security guard, the Foreign Office confirmed that the victims were immediately hospitalized and are receiving medical treatment.

The Foreign Office expressed condolences to the families of the injured and wished them a speedy recovery.

“The incident is under investigation. Pakistan is committed to holding those responsible accountable,” the statement said. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is closely coordinating with the Ministry of Interior and the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad.”

The Foreign Office further reaffirmed that Pakistan and China share a deep, enduring partnership based on mutual respect and common goals.
