RAWALPINDI: The PTI negotiating committee met with the party founder, Imran Khan, at Adiala Jail on Sunday.
Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur, along with Allama Nasir Abbas, Hamid Raza, Omar Ayub, and Asad Qaiser, attended the meeting. However, two committee members, Hamid Khan and Salman Akram Raja, were unable to join.
Speaking to the media, Allama Nasir Abbas described the meeting as “crucial and necessary” for the ongoing negotiations with the government.
When questioned about the party founder’s alleged signing of an NRO, Sahibzada Hamid Raza clarified, “It is the government, not PTI’s founder, seeking an NRO. If you have seen the NRO, share it.”
Prior to the committee’s session, Ali Amin Gandapur held a one-on-one meeting with Imran Khan lasting over an hour.
The PTI negotiating committee was granted permission to visit the party founder in jail on Sunday. According to sources, government authorities contacted PTI leadership on Saturday night to convey the approval.
The seven-member team aimed to discuss the next steps in the ongoing dialogue with the government during their consultation with the party founder.
