The PTI founder has reiterated his commitment to facing legal proceedings before the same judges, rejecting any deals. He accused authorities of appointing special judges to secure his conviction.
Dismissing claims of seeking a deal through a letter to the Army Chief, he clarified that his communication was solely aimed at expressing concerns over the declining public trust in the military. He warned that the growing rift between the people and the armed forces poses a serious threat to Pakistan’s stability and must be addressed.
Criticizing the establishment’s policies, he stated that they have deepened divisions between the nation and the military. He emphasized that the army remains vital for Pakistan’s survival and that national unity is essential.
He further explained that his letter was intended to stress the need for collective efforts against terrorism. Announcing plans for another open letter next week, he said it would be directed at the public. Through this letter, he aims to urge the establishment and the Chief Justice to stand with the people, end oppression, and work towards national harmony.
