Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser accused Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz of attempting to derail negotiations with PTI.
Addressing a gathering in Swabi, the former National Assembly speaker stated, “The government is making contradictory claims about the negotiations. They say the PTI founder is tweeting, but we are the ones who have faced injustice.”
He continued, “Our basic rights were denied on November 26, and innocent citizens were fired upon.”
Discussing the May 9 incidents, Qaiser remarked, “Our people have been sentenced in military courts, but civilians should never be tried by military tribunals. Despite these circumstances, the PTI founder was accused.”
Qaiser further noted, “The economic situation in the country has led to widespread disappointment.”
He concluded, “Imran Khan is emerging not just as a leader of Pakistan but of the entire world. He is enduring hardships in jail for the sake of the nation.”
