Rawalpindi Board postpones all scheduled exams

The Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has postponed all exams scheduled for tomorrow due to holidays in schools and colleges, as declared by the Punjab government.

The board’s chairman explained that the decision was made following the government’s notice about the closure of educational institutions on Friday. He added that new dates for the postponed exams will be announced later.

“The updated schedule for the postponed papers will be shared with all candidates in due time,” the chairman assured, promising students and parents that further information will be provided as soon as possible.

The Punjab government had earlier declared a holiday for all public and private colleges and universities in response to anticipated student protests regarding alleged false reports of a sexual assault case at a private college.

The Punjab Higher Education Department confirmed the closure of educational institutions on October 18 in a notification, citing safety concerns and instructions from the Punjab Home Department to prevent unrest.
