PINDI BHATTIAN: At least six personnel of the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA) were injured in a fog-related accident near Pindi Bhattian, ARY News reported.
According to details, the incident took place on the M-4 motorway when the vehicle carrying FIA personnel from Gujranwala to Faisalabad crashed due to heavy fog.
Rescue officials confirmed that the injured personnel have been transported to the Tehsil Headquarter Hospital for treatment.
In a separate incident, the death toll from a collision involving six vehicles on the National Highway near Gharo reached five after two more individuals, critically injured in the accident, succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.
Earlier, on Sunday, three people were killed in a fog-related traffic mishap in Thatta district.
Hospital authorities confirmed that two more critically injured individuals passed away, bringing the total death toll from the incident to five.
The deceased have been identified as Shoaib, Rehman, Nadeem, Moin, and Gul Zaman.
Four other individuals, out of the 12 injured, remain in critical condition and have been transferred to Karachi for further medical care.
Earlier incidents also included two separate fog-related accidents on the National Highway near Gharo and Darya Khan in Punjab, where at least five people were killed.
The first accident occurred early in the morning when six vehicles collided due to poor visibility caused by fog. Three people died, and 14 others were injured, with bodies and the wounded being sent to Civil Hospital Thatta.
In another fog-related incident, a passenger bus crashed into a trailer parked along M.M. Road near Darya Khan, resulting in two fatalities and six injuries. The bus, traveling from Uch Sharif to Rawalpindi, collided due to reduced visibility from the fog.
