The Foreign Office has dismissed rumors of interference in Pakistan’s internal affairs, calling such speculations incorrect.

Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, during a media briefing, stated that Pakistan and the United States share a long-standing friendship and partnership, as reported by Express News.

She added that former President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have extended their congratulations to newly re-elected US President Donald Trump.

Pakistan is committed to building strong bilateral relations with the United States, she clarified, emphasizing that rumors of interference in Pakistan’s internal matters are unfounded.

The spokesperson also announced that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will attend the Riyadh Summit on November 11, accompanied by a high-level delegation. Pakistan aims to advocate for a free Palestinian state and call for an end to Israeli aggression.

Following this, the Prime Minister is set to visit Baku to participate in the Climate Change Conference on November 12 and 13.

In separate statements, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari congratulated Donald Trump on his re-election. Shehbaz, calling Trump’s win a “historic victory,” expressed eagerness to strengthen Pakistan-US relations. In a tweet, Bilawal congratulated Trump on his “victory and historic comeback,” mentioning figures like Elon Musk, J.D. Vance, Robert Kennedy Jr., and Tulsi Gabbard.

Separately, senior government officials told Express News that speculation linking the potential release of PTI founder Imran Khan to the US election results was unfounded. They explained that cases against Imran are still under judicial review and will be resolved according to the law, asserting that Pakistan will not accept any foreign influence on this matter. Officials expressed optimism that ties with the new US administration under President Donald Trump would improve, reaffirming a balanced approach in foreign relations.
