LAHORE: The University of Health Sciences Lahore (UHS) has announced the results for the 2024 Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) in Punjab, with over 90 percent of candidates passing the exam.
According to UHS, two female candidates, Zainab Munir and Iqra Azam, jointly topped the exam by scoring 199 out of 200 marks.
The exam, conducted on September 22, saw 56,519 candidates from across Punjab participate. Out of these, 48,051 candidates secured the 55 percent or higher required for admission to medical colleges, while 2,967 candidates achieved at least 50 percent for dental college admissions.

Earlier, on September 24, Khyber Medical University (KMU) announced the results of the 2024 MDCAT exam. In this test, over 42,300 candidates appeared, with six centers set up by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Security was ensured by the presence of Senior Superintendents of Police (SP) and Assistant Commissioners at each center.
According to KMU’s spokesperson, Mahboob Ali and Qaiser Ali topped the exam with 194 marks. A total of 24,518 students qualified for BDS, while 21,355 were eligible for MBBS. Additionally, 38 candidates scored over 190 marks, and 658 students were marked absent from the exam.
