Opting to field first, Pakistan Shaheens’ bowlers dominated Sri Lanka A’s opening innings, dismissing them for just 115 runs. Kashif Ali was the standout performer, taking an impressive five wickets for 31 runs, while Khurram Shahzad provided strong support with four wickets for 32.
Only Pasindu Sooriyabandara (28) and Sonal Dinusha (30) offered resistance for Sri Lanka A.
In reply, Pakistan Shaheens posted 258 in their first innings, with Ali Zaryab scoring 55 runs. Hussain Talat (56) and Rohail Nazir (55) also made important contributions. Despite a strong effort from Vishwa Fernando, who took four wickets for 44, Sri Lanka A’s bowlers struggled to break through Pakistan Shaheens’ middle order.
Sri Lanka A showed improvement in their second innings, posting a total of 364. Key contributions came from Ahan Wickramasinghe (53), Pasindu Sooriyabandara (64), and Wanuja Sahan (73). However, Khurram Shahzad once again led the way for Pakistan Shaheens, claiming 5 wickets for 70 runs.
Chasing a target of 222, Pakistan Shaheens reached it comfortably, finishing at 222/3 in 53 overs. Ali Zaryab remained unbeaten on 83, while Mohammad Suleman’s 86 guided the team to victory. Haider Ali’s quickfire 19 not out ensured there were no late setbacks.
Despite some tight bowling, Sri Lanka A’s bowlers were unable to defend the target.
