Saim Ayub Set to Travel to London for Ankle Treatment

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has made the decision to send cricketer Saim Ayub to London for immediate medical treatment after consulting with healthcare professionals.

The Pakistan opening batter sustained an injury on the first day of the second Test match against South Africa in Cape Town.

Naqvi confirmed that Ayub will meet with renowned sports orthopedic specialists in London for a thorough evaluation.

“Saim Ayub has an appointment with top sports orthopedic specialists in London,” Naqvi stated, authorizing the cricketer’s transfer to the UK.

Currently, Dr. Mamrez in Pakistan is overseeing Ayub’s treatment and has sent all relevant medical records to the specialists in London for further examination.

Naqvi expressed concern over Ayub’s injury, emphasizing that the left-handed batter is a key player for Pakistan cricket. He confirmed that Ayub would be flown to London from Cape Town on the first available flight, accompanied by Azhar Mahmood, the team’s strength and conditioning coach.

The PCB Chairman reassured that Ayub would receive world-class medical care at one of London’s leading hospitals, saying, “All necessary resources will be provided for Saim Ayub’s treatment,” and expressed confidence that Ayub would make a full recovery in time for the upcoming Champions Trophy.
