“ChatGPT Faces Major Outage at OpenAI!”

ChatGPT, the widely used AI chatbot, experienced a significant outage today, leaving users unable to access the service.

Reports of the disruption began surfacing on social media and outage-monitoring platforms. OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, confirmed the issue and assured users they are working on a solution.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), OpenAI stated, “We’re experiencing an outage right now. We have identified the issue and are working to roll out a fix. Sorry, and we’ll keep you updated!”

Service Disruption

The cause of the outage remains unclear, but users have reported receiving error messages and being unable to access the chatbot. This has disrupted activities for a broad spectrum of users, including students, researchers, businesses, and individuals who depend on ChatGPT for various tasks.

OpenAI has not yet provided an estimated time for the full restoration of the service. Users are advised to monitor OpenAI’s official channels for updates.

Meta Platforms Also Hit by Global Outage

In a related development, Meta platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Threads, faced a widespread outage late last night, impacting thousands of users worldwide, including in Pakistan.

According to Downdetector.com, a platform tracking real-time outages, nearly 1,000 users in Pakistan reported issues with Meta services around 11 PM. WhatsApp also faced disruptions, with over 2,200 complaints logged, while Instagram recorded more than 1,200 outage reports.

Some users turned to X to report errors like “something went wrong,” prompting Meta to issue a brief statement on Facebook: “We’re working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.”
