Renowned Islamic scholar Dr. Zakir Naik called on the Islamic world to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) for research on Friday.
He expressed concern, stating, “It is unfortunate that modern technology and media are predominantly controlled by Jews. Muslims are fortunate to have ‘black gold’ in the form of oil. If utilized properly, we could gain control over the media.”
Dr. Naik lamented, “Unfortunately, we do not spend our resources wisely.”
Emphasizing the importance of modern technology, he noted, “AI is a cutting-edge technology that provides answers to a myriad of questions. It has simplified many aspects of daily life.”
He added, “In the past, working in graphics was challenging, but AI has made it effortless to generate graphics. Copying content has also become much easier with AI.”
“If we focus our research on AI and utilize it correctly, I believe no other tool in history can better help us spread the true message of Islam,” Dr. Naik stated.
He also praised the spirit of the Pakistani people, saying, “Wherever I encounter Pakistanis—be it in Malaysia, the UK, Saudi Arabia, or Dubai—they all exhibit a remarkable passion for Islam.”
He urged the Islamic community to harness AI as a tool for promoting the genuine essence of Islam.
