Faisalabad police have begun using body cameras during patrols and investigations to increase transparency and effectiveness in their operations. This initiative, aimed at recording statements and gathering evidence, is currently being tested with a select group of officers.
As part of the trial phase, 10 Dolphin Force squads and 11 investigative teams have been equipped with body cameras. Police officials believe the use of this advanced technology will improve investigations by providing concrete evidence against criminals while also monitoring officers’ performance.
The body cameras, worn by officers on their uniforms, will record footage during vehicle and motorcycle searches. This move is part of a larger effort to modernize policing practices and ensure accountability.
The results of this trial phase will determine whether body cameras will be rolled out across the entire police force. If successful, the initiative could significantly enhance law enforcement practices in the region.
