New Freelancing Hub Established in Gilgit-Baltistan’s Taus Region
The Pakistan Army, in partnership with the Special Communications Organization (SCO), has launched a freelancing hub at the Government Boys High School in Taus, Gilgit-Baltistan, marking a major milestone in advancing digital education in the region.
Shaheen Beg, the school principal, explained that the hub is designed to equip local youth with essential skills in online business, freelancing, and digital marketing. The facility will serve not only students but also community members, helping to create new job opportunities within the digital economy.
“This freelancing hub will benefit our students and the wider community,” Principal Beg said. “It’s a vital step toward preparing our youth for future careers by providing them with digital skills training.”
This initiative is part of a growing effort to enhance digital literacy and create economic opportunities in the remote areas of Gilgit-Baltistan. Principal Beg highlighted the importance of such facilities in today’s digital world, offering young people access to global employment prospects.
The establishment of the hub is in line with national efforts to foster digital skills development and boost job creation in Pakistan’s northern regions.
