GTA 6 fans face disappointment as moon theory is debunked

Fans of GTA 6 were left disappointed after the much-discussed moon theory, which suggested the release of a second trailer on November 22, proved to be false.

The theory gained traction on social media earlier this month, sparked by observations of a specific moon phase in GTA Online. This ‘Waning Gibbous’ phase mirrored one that coincided with the release of the first GTA 6 trailer last year.

Enthusiasts speculated that Rockstar Games might unveil the second trailer for the game on November 22, coinciding with the end of the lunar phase. However, the day came and went without any announcement from Rockstar Games or its parent company, Take-Two Interactive.

The first trailer for GTA 6 was released on December 4, 2023, and Take-Two Interactive previously confirmed that the game is scheduled for release in Fall 2025. Despite rumors of potential delays to 2026, the company has reiterated its timeline.

In a recent statement, Take-Two expressed confidence in its upcoming projects, saying, “With many exciting new titles coming in Fiscal 2026 – including GTA 6 in the Fall, Borderlands 4, and Mafia: The Old Country – we expect to create long-term value for our shareholders.”

Fans continue to eagerly await further updates on the highly anticipated title.
