The Family Registration Certificate (FRC) issued by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is a crucial document that provides details about all members of a family.
This certificate is essential for Pakistani citizens as it ensures their information is properly recorded with NADRA, enabling them to acquire other necessary documents from the authority.
The FRC can be obtained under three categories: birth, marriage, or adoption.
- Birth: In this category, the FRC includes details of all family members, such as parents and siblings.
- Marriage: When obtained through marriage, the certificate lists the family members, including the spouse and children of the individual.
- Adoption: For adopted individuals, the FRC includes details of the adopted person and their guardian.
It is important to note that those who do not have the 13-digit NADRA ID number will not be included in the Family Registration Certificate.
Pakistanis can apply for the FRC either by visiting the NADRA Registration Center (NRC) or through the Pak-Identity website. Overseas Pakistanis must visit the relevant mission office in their country to obtain the certificate.
The fee for issuing the Family Registration Certificate remains unchanged at Rs1,000 as of January 2025.
